When looking at the picturesque screenshots of Star Defender, one can hardly imagine, that this game is a classic remake of the old video game Galaga… And it's not surprising, because Galaga was released in 1981, when no one could even imagine there could be 3d graphics and all those things. But in spite of the fact that space in that video game was looking simply like a black screen with spots, which hardly reminded us of the far beautiful stars of the galaxy, this game is one of the most popular arcade games to date and is still sought after by collectors.
Galaga was loved by every one. This video game became the classics. Simple gameplay made people staring at their PCs for hours. But besides all the advantages Galaga also had one innovation. It was one of the first games with a challenging stage (a bonus round). On certain levels, the Galaga travel across the screen in increasingly deceptive patterns. They never attack the player or line up into formation as they would in a normal round. The goal is to destroy all 40 Galaga and earn the "perfect" bonus of 10,000 points.
All this made this video game very addictive and thousands of people became its fans.
That's why there appeared Star Defender - a remake of Galaga. We simply wanted to give this game another birth. And we managed to do it. Star Defender turned out to be simple but very nice. Transparent deep blue sky with millions of shining stars. Small silver Tornado flying at the bottom line of the screen and orderly lines of the enemy ships. You can evaluate all the advantages of this galaga style video game not only when looking at its screenshots, but also if you download it on you PC and simply try it. And if you are a fan of good old galaga style games, then you'll absolutely love Star Defender!
