The Island: Castaway release is near at hand and we are very excited to give you a sneak peek at the game.
The Island: Castaway game opens as an ocean liner is shipwrecked somewhere in deep waters of the ocean. A group of survivors find themselves on an uncharted island. Little they know about the surprises and secrets the island hides. Soon after the castaways explore the new land they find ancient inscriptions on the sand… Something strange and mysterious starts to happen.
Unlike many other simulation games, The Island: Castaway is much more than a sim which involves guiding and caring about the people who got trapped on the island. It’s an involving adventure game with over 200 quests and intriguing and mysterious storyline which puts you right in the thick of things.
The Island: Castaway features a great number of unique characters which help to reveal the story and set a wide range of tasks and quests.
After a short opening cut-scene you (playing as Tom, one of the castaways) wake up on the sandy beach. Soon after you reunite with other survivors, you start to explore the island, solve its quests and learn to survive in the wilderness.
Beginning with simple tasks such as starting a fire and putting up a tent, you will be able to fish, catch crabs, hunt and craft new instruments on advanced levels of the game. Besides, the island is very rich in fruits. You can collect them and cook tasty dishes. As soon as you get further into the game, you unlock more and more new recipes.
After you find out that the island is inhabited, you get acquainted with the tribesmen. In most cases they are friendly, but be careful as many of them believe that spirits do not like you here. So you can help the locals and they will be kind to you too. You can sell and buy goods and instruments in the village.
There are twelve parts of the island to explore including dangerous forests, sandy beaches, mountains inhabited by snakes, dark caves, swamps and more.
A unique map will help you to navigate the island and see where there are tasks.
The Island: Castaway awards you with trophies which are kept in the Trophy Room. Trophies are divided into three different categories: bronze, silver and gold. Thus, one and the same trophy can be upgraded as you progress the game.
Apart from the trophies, there are special sacred statues hidden in different parts of the island. Depending on the number of the sacred statues collected, the game has two alternative endings.
