This time you’ll deal with something really disgusting, some kind of mutated insects, huge and deadly. They came out of nowhere, they’re fast and numerous, and they already breached the borders of your galaxy. They seem to have a leader, something calling himself Inserctus. It leads the legions causing death and destruction all along the way, and their next destination point is the Earth. You must deal with that creature before its armies strike the Earth. And so you answer to the motherland’s call and venture to the most important mission. Taste what it’s like when the fate of all life on the planet is in your hands.
In Star Defender 4 your spaceship gets the best ammunition from the previous conflicts. That includes ball lightning, parasitron and infector; they’ve already proven their worth in fight. But scientists’ minds also managed to come up with some new inventions, so now you’ll also have the devastating uranium machine-gun, saw, flame thrower, acid bomb and cutter device. You can be sure there are just enough guns to make all those alien swarms go boom. Moreover, each weapon can be upgraded to become even deadlier. And there are collectable bonuses, like time-freeze, invulnerability, missile strike and others, to give you the edge in the harsh times.
Combat strategy isn’t an empty sound for Star Defender 4. Outperforming enemies is a challenging task. Mutated insects are formidable foes, carrying different weapons, having various cunning moves and attacks. Some of them are so tough that it’ll take more than a few seconds to eliminate one, not to talk about the whole swarm. Thus, you’ll have to do a lot of maneuvering and put lots of effort to simply stay alive. The second point is that maintaining sufficient firepower is essential for surviving. When you get hit you don’t blow up at once but your firepower gets severely reduced making you inefficient in combat. It makes the hunt for powerups your top priority unless you wish to see the wreckages of your ship from within.
Those alien bastards have already taken over and deployed their forces on eight strategic locations. This is where you will have missions. The battle zone spreads through over 100 missions full of ravaging and struggle. After a number of combat operations in a designated area you’ll confront a major entity. Be prepared to face your worst fears in the flesh. Each boss’s extreme vitality and mighty attacks pose the greatest threat for the brave space warrior, and it won’t look like any standard shoot-out. Still don’t underestimate your regular enemies, since each species is keen on battle and has its own strategy and combat abilities.

Just bought star defender. How do I save a level? Every time I shutdown the game, it starts from the begining?
