Zombies are coming! What do they want? Your brain, of course!
Sounds sinister, doesn't it? Don't worry, you don't need to panic because the plants from your garden have put security measures in place ready to fight for you. All they need is your support and instructions.
Plants vs. Zombies is a fresh representative of arcade-style games. Your army consists of various plants like peas, cayenne, cactus and sunflowers. The trouble is that you must have enough money to buy seedlings. Start by planting sunflowers, which make suns fall. Collect the suns to earn money for the needed seedlings.
Saved up enough cash? Time to buy defensive plants. At the beginning, you have only a peashooter. But after each level, you unlock a new plant with each having its own weapon to battle against zombies. The cherry bomb blows up all nearby zombies. Grave Busters remove the gravestones. Nuts have hard shells that protect other plants. Snow Peas shoot frozen peas that damage and slow down the enemy. There are 48 kinds of plants to play with.
While progressing through the game, you'll keep receiving new plants. You’ll have to decide which ones to use as the defenders of your brain for the next level. At the beginning, you can select only six plants to play the level. After unlocking the Crazy Dave’s shop, you can buy extra slots that allow using more plant types.
Zombies are extremely noodle-thirsty. Their deadly army grows with every level. You’ll meet a Newspaper Zombie that acts surprised when you shoot at his newspaper. Snorkel Zombie can swim underwater. Beware of Zombori who applies ice on your lawn and plants. These are just a few of the many types of zombies. You'll have to discover the rest yourself. It's worth it.
Plants battle against zombies day and night. After playing ten levels, day gives way to night. The sunflowers have less energy and produce fewer suns. Plus, you’ll see some graves appear on your lawn giving you no place to set down a seedling. During the huge pile or “wave” of zombies, the graves release more charming dead men.
There are 50 levels in Plants vs. Zombies adventure mode. After completing half of the levels in the main mode, you unlock mini-games. Like bowling? Play wall-nut bowling! Your target is… zombies. Or play slot machine. Hit the jackpot to win more plants and precious suns.
Plants vs. Zombies game contains many amazing puzzles for unlocking. Play them any time you want to win trophies. After banishing zombies from your garden in the Adventure mode, you can try your hand in Survivor mode.
The cartoonish graphics and droll animation are incredibly entertaining and eye-pleasing. The plants look like they dance. Funny zombies wear stylish costumes, sporting equipment and have enviable accessories. Merry tunes play as you battle here and there.
The only downside is the game's difficulty. It can become very challenging to move forward as you can get stuck on a level where the zombies eat you brains five times.
Go quickly to your garden to help plants hold the line. Remember that your brain is in danger! Forewarned is forearmed!
