The original Farm Frenzyhit all the marks and was one of the most popular casual games in the come out in the recent past. Now you have the opportunity to continue building your farm with the new sequel Farm Frenzy 2. Intrigued? Well, let us see what we have this time.
Farm Frenzy 2, like its predecessor, has no storyline, but very clear objectives. You are to establish your own successful farm, which is more complicated than it may sound. The gameplay hasn’t changed from the first Farm Frenzy game, and it successfully mixes arcade and simulation aspects. Hence, make your farm and business as fast as you can.
In order to progress through the game you have to make money and upgrade your farm. Let’s look at everything step-by-step. At the very beginning you have only a couple of chickens, a well, a truck and a spot of soil. You’ll have to grow grass to keep your chickens fed so that they will lay eggs. When they do, load the eggs onto the truck and send your goods to the market. But remember that in order to grow grass your well must be full of water. Water costs money, of course. And if there is no water in the well your chickens will die.
Collect the goods as fast as you can otherwise they will disappear. Mind that your truck as well as warehouse can store only a limited number of goods. So make sure that you manage all the affaires properly. You can choose what kind of products and how many of them to sell.
You can buy a cat and it will help you to collect your goods. You can also trap bears before they harm your livestock, and then sell it on the market to earn more money. Or, you can buy some dogs to scare them away.
Each level sets a specific goal to achieve. It can be earning a certain amount of money, raising a required number of animals, or simply producing a defined quantity of some goods. You also have time limits to achieve the goal. If you manage to do everything in time, you get bonus points which are useful for buying upgrades. Moreover, you have to buy a necessary upgrade which will be highlighted to you, if you want to get to the following level. But during the game you will have to buy and upgrade all the buildings from the very beginning which may seem rather tiring.
Little-by-little you will upgrade your farm and will be able to raise not only chickens but pigs, cows and other domestic animals as well. Your farm will be able to produce more goods such as egg powder or buns but you will need to buy a powder mill and bakery for this purpose. Such products will bring you more money. You will also be able to upgrade your machinery and to buy a wiser cat and a stronger dog. New to Farm Frenzy 2 is that you can buy a plane available. It brings goods from the city and allows you to sell your own goods as well.
Farm Frenzy 2 resembles original Farm Frenzy in many ways, but it has more animals, new upgrades and more levels. The difficulty is also higher and at times Farm Frenzy 2 gets really hard, overcrowding the screen with lots of chickens, pigs, dogs, cats, cows, buildings, eggs, pork and requiring utter concentration. But having completed half of the game’s levels, you can unlock Unlimited Game Mode.
The visual aspects of Farm Frenzy 2 never fail to delight. The animations are cute and gratifying as the animals jump and move around in the sunny atmosphere of the farm. Unfortunately, it is not the same with soundtrack of the game as it gets repetitive and rather irritating after a while. Though sound effects such as the gurgling of the well and the chickens’ cackling when they see no grass are rather fun.
In general, Farm Frenzy 2 is a good game that can be played now and then. It may suit both adults and children and will definitely acquire its public. It is a fun life on a funny farm!

Comment: Yes it does take a while to beat, but in the end it's well worth it, gets more challenging each level you go, upgrades are very cool, definately a game to keep you entertained for hours of fun!
I played all the Farm Frenzy games and Farm Frenzy 2 was the best one to my mind. I knew that they will release the third part Farm Frenzy 3 (not to confuse with FF Pizza Party!!!!!!!) very soon. Great news, aren’t they?
