- Pros: Addictive game play. New buildings and products. Ability to replay the levels. Cute graphics.
- Cons: Identical to previous installments. Little innovation. Repetitive music. One game mode.
The farming theme has grown as a favorite with time management game developers. Farm Mania, Farm Craft, Magic Farm, My Farm… to name a few. Of course, many more farm-themed games are out there. But the Farm Frenzy series enjoys being one of the most popular in the crowded pasture.
We have excellent news for Farm Frenzy lovers. The third installment of the Farm Frenzy has hit the market in the form of Farm Frenzy - Pizza Party. And really, it’s a party as you’ll make six kinds of pizza: Italian, French, American, German, Russian and even Chinese (to tell you the truth, I have never heard of some of these).
Pizza Party contains an excellent combination of simulation, time management and arcade genres. Like its predecessors, Pizza Party has no special story. You simply manage a farm with an objective to meet in each level. You develop your own strategies for reaching your goals. If you wisely manage livestock and money, then you’ll see your farm blooming in no time!
Let’s start from the beginning. You get a spot of soil, a well, a warehouse and one chicken. Click the ground to make the grass grow and feed the chicken. Wait for it to lay eggs, load the eggs on the truck and send them to the city. You'll sell the goods at the market to bring in money.
As previously mentioned, each level has a goal. Thus, you may need to raise an assigned number of animals, produce set amount of goods and earn a fixed sum of money. Every time you get more animals and buildings that produce diverse farm products. By the way, you can buy extra animals as needed to reach your level's goals.
In progressing through the game, you’ll make curd, butter, pizzas and more. Unfortunately, your farm can't produce all the needed products, so you'll need to buy them. Here, send your plane to the city to retrieve ordered goods.
Remember to keep an eye on timer because you have to play fast to earn a bonus. While the levels have a timer, it’s not crucial if you miss the target time since the game lets you keep playing.
After completing a level, you have cash to spend on equipment for the farm. Visit the shop and upgrade the machines to make them more productive and faster. Moreover, you must buy a new factory every few levels to continue the game.
One more obstacle you’ll meet is the angry bears. They come to the farm to swipe your pigs and chickens. A dog can help, but it only holds up marauders and doesn't chase them away. Therefore, click the bear several times to snap it inside a cage.
Overall, Farm Frenzy - Pizza Party doesn’t differ much from two previous games in the series. Despite some innovations like new animals and cooking pizzas, it has no new tricks in store to surprise players. On the other hand, fun and merriment return to the farm.
Farm Frenzy 3 resembles the earlier editions in its graphics and animation. You’ll see a funny jumping well and factories, walking animals and a flying plane. But in our mind, the images need sharpening. The music is funny and cheerful. Although, the music turns repetitive after several levels that it becomes wearisome. The sounds produce animal noises and doesn't annoy. The only exception is the growling bears! As usual, you can adjust the sounds in settings.
Farm Frenzy: Pizza Party tosses up a nice sequel to the original game with several minor additions. Farm Frenzy admirers, get your fingers ready! Good luck in your first steps in cheesy culinary experience with the latest Farm Frenzy. Let the Pizza Party begin!
