In Delicious - Emily's Holiday Season, we meet Emily, who is a well-known restaurant owner. She plans to have a family winter party in the Snuggford Hotel when she suddenly gets a job offer in the restaurant at that very hotel. It may seem an odd beginning, but it’s Christmastime, the magical period with lots of surprises that can open a new chapter in anyone's life. And, this is exactly what happens to Emily! Arranging the Snuggford Hotel restaurant, she gets involved in several odd situations and has to make important decisions that will effect her, her family, and the restaurant. Delicious - Emily's Holiday Season can be called a really unique game from other time-management games out there. While the basic game play appeals to classic time management game lovers, it doesn’t differ much from the other games in the “Delicious” series. Thus, the key tasks remain to prepare dishes, serve customers and create a warm ambiance to keep all the clients relaxed and satisfied in this latest version. The additional tasks in each level are what makes the game truly outstanding.Their issues don’t influence greatly on the outcome of the level and simply bring some extra cash, but the remain a big part of the game and offer a break from the norm of managing the restaurant. Some of the tasks remain the same throughout the different levels, with only slight changes. For example, to get 100 coins you should localize the place where a little mouse appears. Others are totally different, such as cleaning the hotel, keeping the fire going, and even arranging guest cards. What stays constant is the close connection to the story to the extra tasks. Emily’s love story runs all through the game and the outcome of this is of great importance overall.It is your job to help her cope with various situations that arise throughout the game. All the details make the game integrated and really charming, yet make it challenging enough to keep you playing for hours. Delicious - Emily's Holiday Season has five locations with ten levels in each one. You’ll play twice at the Snuggford Hotel – both before and after the renovation, but with totally different decorations. Emily’s old-time friend Francois has a great little catalog with Christmas decor in it. You can decorate your restaurants with lovely ornaments and candles, buy Christmas tree and more when you shop from this catalog. These items will not only create a beautiful touch to the game, but also increase the daily income from the customers that come into the restaurant. The game offers various firecrackers in the form of trophies, and at the end of the game you can display a spectacular firework scene for your customers. Speaking of the graphics, Delicious - Emily's Holiday Season doesn’t have any problems here either. The colors are bright yet well balanced at the same time. The Christmas decorations you acquire along the way plunge you into the festive atmosphere of holidays – creating a unique, wonderful feel as you play through the different levels. As for the audio and sounds in the game, the game features light tunes and special holiday sounds.The only thing that can disappoint players a bit is mute dialogues. If they were voiced, the game could be called almost perfect! One more complaint is cash players get at the end of a level. If you reach the expert goals , you have hardly enough money to buy decorations, which can be disappointing for those that enjoy customizing the levels. All in all, Delicious - Emily's Holiday Season is an impressive installment of the Delicious game series. With warm Christmas atmosphere, intriguing story, sudden turnarounds of events and in-depth game play, it can become the best pastime for the upcoming holiday!
