Many casual games can boast of lovely graphics and nice sound but not each of them – of addictive and funny game-play urging the player to continue. Of all the features Cradle of Rome has to offer, the mentioned above are the ultimate ones.
Cradle of Rome represents an unusual combination of city building game and major casual component set at the dawn of the Roman Empire. Your job is to build up an elaborate Roman city from scratch by building forges, mills, fountains and other scores of buildings. All of them contain screen tips with complete rundowns of the real history of their invention and the purpose they were used for by the Romans. When your little settlement has turned into a thriving city, you will be able to recreate the Coliseum and even the Pantheon. To build all these structures, you will have to earn certain points (of food, gold, stone and wood) by solving particular puzzles.
The puzzles represent a field of multiple shapes, varying from level to level, that consists of squares with such items as wood, flour, silver and gold. Your goal is to swap them, two at a time, in order to create horizontal or vertical rows of the same items. The more items in a row, the more points you get but the minimum is three. Matched items disappear causing those above to drop down and create other matches for extra points. The game is restricted in time so you will have to decide promptly which of the items to swap.
As you progress in equipping your city with modern amenities, your reputation among its citizens will grow, ending up bestowing you a title (depending on the amount of boons you’ve made). You just won’t let yourself stop playing before you’ve got the highest one – the Emperor.
Cradle of Rome also features lovely graphics, pleasant music, nice sound and the ancient Roman backdrops that are set to change after each level.
The game is highly addictive and simple to play. If you come to have difficulty in matching, the game will give you a hint. Moreover, Cradle of Rome offers replayability galore as the item arrangement is random.
Cradle of Rome is excellent for training quickness of wit and fast decision making and will be of real pleasure for those who want to forget about their hard work or daily routine for a while.
Hi guys, I've just played this game this afternoon on Facebook, through Mind Jolt games. I loved it and wanted to challenge my friends, as usual in Mind Jolt. After building up my town I failed 3 times and wanted to check my score. It was all gone!!
I've played it again and clicked on the eye.. and went to the start page!
That wasn't funny.
I hope it can get fixed soon..
I received e-mail from support but there's no registration key in message, in article 1: you're said
