Each game level consists of tiles that you need to break by linking three or more of the same kind. You do this by clicking on the first piece and dragging cursor over adjacent ones. To complete a level, you should break all underlying marble plaques removing tiles on top of them. That poses a serious challenge as the time is limited and there are plenty of obstructions on the way, such as chains, boxes and walls. The gameplay is also spiced up with a number of bonuses that let you avoid obstacles using dynamite, lightning, magic wand, time-stopping hourglasses, etc. You can make bonuses more powerful by upgrading them or making astonishing combos.

Some tiles you break replenish the supplies of lumber, gold and food. These resources can be used between levels to rebuild the city. You are free to choose what building or monument to erect.
