The game introduces a lovely Angela Young and hercat, Felix. One night, Angela reads a fascinating story when suddenly she feels like falling down through time and space. Once she lands in a dark strange forest, Angela spots a bewildering castle. Of course, Felix sits beside her. The friends enter the castle and where a strange wizard, the Lord of Nightmares, awaits them.
After chatting with wizard, Angela notices Felix is gone. Did he escape? Was he kidnapped? The game makes no point of clarifying what has happened Angela's feline friend. In any case, your adventures begin when Angela goes through her own dreams in search of her pet and way home.
In Angela Young's Dream Adventure, you spend your time ransacking various busy locations to find needed items. The hidden object tasks vary and will challenge you. In each scene, you receive a list of items to find as well as search for pairs of identical items, compare objects with their shadows and help three capricious elves track down different toys.
Although a basic hidden object game, the game surprises you with its diversity of mini-game puzzles. Duel with a wizard, remove matches to leave identical squares and make the kettle and sugar bowl switch places by moving kitchen items around in the tea room. These list just a few of the many mini-games available. If you have an affinity for some of the mini-games, you can replay them in the main menu, which allows you to choose any episode to replay.
A time bar appears above the rooms suggesting the game is timed. Be careful where you click because the game penalizes you with a few seconds after making several wrong clicks. The locations are very crowded that you'll find it almost impossible to find needed items without hints. Moreover, every scene contains many identical items. To top it all off, Angela Young's Dream Adventure comes with only one game play mode.
If you like reading lots and lots of dialogue, you’ll probably like Angela Young's Dream Adventure. The game won't allow you to skip the dialogue, so you'll have to sit there reading the tortuous story that makes little sense.
The graphics are neither top notch or horrid. The items blend into background as the scenes use the same neutral colors. Angela resembles Alice from Disney’s cartoon Alice in Wonderland. The music mesmerizes, but you'll forget the tune as soon as the level ends.Angela Young's Dream Adventure game leaves a mix of impressions. On one hand, it offers a many mini-games.
