Can anyone tell me how you purchase all the bonus items in epidsode one?
Hi lavone@sti.net!
Play the game a second time. You keep all trophies and points. So you can purchase all items in the first episode. Lavone, when you restart, do the following: open up the first location. Find the letter first. Then find enough items so you have 25,000 points, but don't finish the location. Don't forget the stamps! If you can collect a number of items quickly, you'll get point bonuses. When you have 25,000 points, go back to the map and purchase the jack in the box (JITB). It will populate to all four locations and is worth 10,000 points in each. Return to the first location, the JITB will be highlighted. Click on it and collect your bonus. In each subsequent location you have to remember to find and click on the JITB to get that bonus. You need to get 110,000 more points (10,000 for the thermometer, 45,000 for the camera, and 55,000 for the palette) before you finish the episode. Make sure you buy all four helpers before you finish off the last location, and you'll get your stamp.
There are only 3 locations in the first episode of my version, I have tried and tried but I cannot get enough points to buy all three any other ideas thanks Joan
I'm going to use Moira's suggestion, ' Play the game a second time. You keep all trophies and points. So you can purchase all items in the first episode.' I have a feeling this will work.
That's the way I did it. When you start the game the second time, you should see all of the bonus items available for purchase. Purchase them straight away and you will get the stamp. Oh, you tricky trekkie! I was so proud of myself when I got that trophy. I started the game probably five times until I got the hang of how to use the JITB and bonus points for rapid clicking in order to get it, but I wasn't leaving Episode 1 until I had it, LOL.
What can I say? The 500,000 stamps kept me busy enough - so I thought a shortcut was in order here!
Now if I could only get my trophies to update.... I downloaded the new version of Letters From Nowhere 2 and was able to get the 500,000 stamp - Hooray!
So I've completed that game and I've completed the first game. My trophies from LFN are posted and I've posted my completed trophies for LFN2, but it won't update the stamp for having completed the first game... Any suggestions? Berezko
We have uploaded a updated version of the game for both Mac and PC.

Moria, it's rather tricky to get this stamp. You can't earn it in the main mode. You can get it only in Unlimited mode. You should work fast. Get Combo10 and keep this pace. Also do not collect bonuses in the begining, collect them at the end. This should help you.
Here's how I did it Moira: Using unlimited mode, pick a room that you feel most comfortable with (I used the Magic Shop). Practice the room you've chosen until you know it by heart - like blindfolded by heart - until you can click every object with no misclicks or pauses in between objects and have the time below a minute. Once you have all the objects memorized and you're ready to try for the 500,000, click the bonuses in this order: jack-in-the-box, thermometer, camera - click on all the object images left by the camera, then start clicking on the list of objects left. You'll know when you hit 500,000 because you will get a message. Keep at it. The trick is not to hesitate between clicks so you get the chain bonus for all the objects. You can wait until the end to click the bonuses, like Olga says - just don't forget about them (which is why I also click them at the beginning...LOL). Hope this helps! Thank you very much ...I'll try it.....
I guess, I for myself will be the problem, cause I get very nervous....... I will tell you... THANX!!
It took me lots of practicing to do it. No need to get nervous. Just keep practicing until you know where everything is and you're comfortable with it. It's not a test! LOL. Yippihh, I got it!
In both games...LFN and LFN2! Thank you for the tips, dear friends!
Way to go, Moira!! Woo Woo!!! Now, would you like to finish Cradle of Rome for me without loosing a life? LOL!!! I get sooooo close (been all the way to level 95) and then....argggggggg! It's proving very hard for me because using resources to keep going counts as losing a life. I know I can do it - it's just a matter of time. Hi textrekkie, let's change our PCs.....you'll get CoR2 and I'll get the 250 sheriff badges....then we are both GURU! LOL!!
@ gabi34...it's just for fun.... btw....what went wrong in CoR 2? Buying time doesn't cost a life....I did it several times......
There is a bonus 'Complete 20 Levels Without Losing a Life'. If somewhere in the first 20 levels, I had to use resources to keep from losing a life, it didn't give me that trophy. So I assumed that complete the entire game without losing a life meant without having to use resources to keep going as well. Am I wrong? Was my imagination over active? LOL
Despite the fact that this is the LFN2 forum and we're discussing CoR2, GT2, and I'm going to throw CoE into the mix, I am also gunning for Guru with only CoE to go. I don't remember any such problem with CoR2. The 250 sheriff's badges - I had to replay the game and I'll admit I saved my game right before every shooting gallery and if I didn't get 30-35 badges I restored the game and tried again. That one was hard, especially the first time through because you don't realize how good you have to be in the shooting gallery to win that trophy. Back to LFN and LFN2: Congratulations Moira on the 500,000 stamps! After a while that's kind of fun to do in various rooms, pity you can't get a stamp for it each time you conquer a new room. I think it's interesting which rooms people choose to go for that stamp. Thank you, Aviatrix!
In LFN I chosed the location „the street“ for getting the stamp and in LFN2 „the mansion“. In GT I do it the same way, you did to get the 250 badges, but it's boring...I play it again and again and again......last time I tried it, I got an attack of rage, because in the last shooting gallery I did a missclick.....aarrggghh. @textrekkie: I guess „losing a life“ means losing a life when time's up...nothing else.
OMG - and here I am trying to obtain the perfect game...nirvana! Well, I can't say I'm really surprised. I often make things more difficult than they are! LOL. Moira - I'm leaving a message for you in GT2 thread - a tip about shooting gallery. i finished LFN and can't get in LFN2 the trophy for finish the first game.
