CPU 1ghz ram 256mb video SiS graphics 32mb and Win XP 32

try in XP or Vista compatibility mode

I have Windows 7 and 64 bit also and can't play Cradle of Persia either.  I wish I could because I love Cradle of Rome and Cradle of Rome 2.

I hope for the next year new Cradle Of Persia game, but normal mode (swap mode) like Cradle Of Rome and Cradle Of Egypt not chain mode!

I am abt lvl 37, just made Satrap a bit ago. I noticed in the tips and tricks that for the Horse you need to 'complete 10 levels without time warning after building a Stable.' Okay, I'll complete 10 levels after I build a stable. But WHAT time warning? My chief complaint about this game was that there is no audible warning or indication that the time is running out, other than the water column. Am I missing something?

BTW, playing on Windows 7 64 bit SR-1 with no problems.

I could never hear an audible, either - even when I cranked up the volume.

I restored and early game and played with it, watching the timer water column drain out and I never saw any visible time warning either. It must be really subtle. I thought maybe the jewel would flash at the bottom of the column, or maybe the globe at the top would glow or something, or the water would get frothier, but none of that was noticeable.

In any case, I got my Horse so I guess I made 10 levels quickly enough. I was wondering why I didn't have my Priest until I realized it was 10 LIVES, not 10 levels that I had to earn. And I only have two games won with runes so far; I hope I get more chances at that. I let a few go by early on, not realizing that it was important to win them that way.

I'd like to see Cradle of Persia 2, but I prefer the chain mode; however, I wish that it had more options in its gameplay.  But through losing many times, and having to begin again at Level 69, I finally learned how to succeed, and now, I've completed the game twice, seen the Genie twice, and am now working on my third game.  I like the variables of the chain mode.  I'm trying one of the other games now that is 'match 3,' and although it's not a fave of mine, it's still pretty good.

If you go to Options, you will see settings for both music and sounds.  I believe it is the sounds that will give you an audible warning that time is running out.  It is the sound of a heartbeat.  I can't stand it...LOL  It just made me panic more, and then I couldn't think straight, so I put sounds to zero.

Yes, the jewel at the bottom does flash...actually, it is a pulse, like that of a heartbeat.
