Cradle of Rome was my fav game and I’m waiting for the sequel. But meanwhile I found a game that resembles a lot COR – The Treasures of Montezuma 2. Recommend to try it!!!
I am a Latin teacher/tutor and think that this game is wonderful for teaching someone how to build an empire. It takes skill, cunning, and lots of resources to take each little baby step. I have only played the simple versions online, but I am thinking of purchasing the Roman games for the great graphics, content, and adherence to the themes of the time. The only question I have is the ability to save what you have already accomplished without dying or spending your lives. If someone will elaborate on this, I would willingly pay the nominal fee.
The game is also excellent at testing skills of the mind. I have had lots of issues with "Brain Fog" due to chronic illness, and I find that this is increasing my awareness and reaction time.
So, as a teacher and an active online game player, I am very glad that I stumbled upon this treasure!
Thank you, athenamjt! One more proof of educational and recreational part of Cradle of Rome.
Answering your question about synchronizing your online achievements with downloadable version - unfortunately, it's impossible. But you can download the game and play the demo till the trial period ends. After buying the full version your progress will be saved. )
